Necsa CEO steps down to pursue private sector position

Dr Rob Adam will step down as the CEO of the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (Necsa) after being at the helm of the corporation for six years.

Necsa announced on Wednesday Adam would be pursuing an opportunity in the private sector from February.

Chairperson Manne Dipico said in a statement that Necsa had stabilised during Adam’s tenure as CEO. “Adam has driven the set of national strategic initiatives leading to the adoption of nuclear power as a fundamental component of South Africa’s future reduced carbon generation mix very effectively.”
