This Mandela Day…

NTP, subsidiary of Necsa, staff took time off their busy schedules to bring a ray of hope and sunshine to the lives of children of Jedidiah Safe Haven and Crisis Centre. This home houses 22 sexually abused and neglected children from ages: 3 months – 15 years. In June, the house was broken into twice, and most of their groceries and clothes were stolen.

On 18 July, NTP delivered groceries, books, toiletries and some clothing to Jedidiah as part of our “do good” initiative. It was humbling to see the smiles on the faces of the children – their appreciation was evident in the song they sang to NTP staff who were present. The owners of the Safe Haven sent words of gratitude to NTP for all their efforts and encouraged parents to listen to their children, especially on matters relating to sexual abuse.

As Nelson Mandela said: "It always seems impossible until it's done". This day is not over yet, you can still do something good for those around you. In fact, let us make everyday a Mandela Day!
