No decision yet on nuclear power plants
THE government on Saturday said it had not made a decision yet on the numbers of nuclear power stations that will be built or which vendors would be used for such projects.
The Department of Energy released a statement responding to a Mail & Guardian article that said government would solicit bids worth R1.1-trillion for the construction of six plants.
Energy department spokesman Ndivhuwo Khangale would not comment on how much money would be spent on the nuclear reactors.
