Necsa Rhino conservation day 2013

From January until the end of May this year, 367 rhinos have been poached in South Africa for their horns.

In the Far East (Vietnam and China) people believe consuming the horn has medicinal and aphrodisiac properties. This has been disproven by science but myths still linger.

Necsa Visitor Centre – Learners Assistance Programme (NVC-LAP)

The Necsa Visitor Centre (NVC) introduces a supplementary tuition programme in support of the national schools curriculum – Learners Assistance Programme (LAP). Necsa aims to support and assist learners with this initiative to master content and foundational principles, particularly in Mathematics and Physical Science education. The services offered in this programme include amongst others topical/content review, tutoring, practical demonstrations, career counselling, coaching, mentoring and industry exposure.

SUPPLEMENTARY TUITION PROGRAMME 2013

Seasons France 2012 & 2013 South Africa

The France-South Africa Seasons 2012 & 2013 are an initiative conceived and facilitated by the governments of the two countries to give the people of France and South Africa an opportunity to understand each other better through cultural, scientific, sport, education and business engagement.

The French Season in South Africa runs from June to November 2012 and comprises more than 100 exhibitions, performances, film screenings, literary events, workshops, conferences and round tables.

The South African Season in France will take place in the second half of 2013.
