NVC hosts 125 Leaners and 6 Educators
The Necsa Visitor Centre (NVC) hosted 125 Leaners and six Educators from Hammanskraal Secondary and Lehwelereng High Schools on Thursday 26 February 2014, as part of the Girl Learner Programme. The learners were accompanied by four officials from the Department of Basic Education Tshwane North District. For more information about the programme please contact NVC.
Thank You NVC!
An e-mail received dated 08 April 2013 from UJ Soweto Science Centre:
On behalf of UJ Soweto Science Centre and the University of Johannesburg I would like to thank you for hosting the Science Centre learners and students.
The learners were forthcoming with their experiences at Necsa. A child in Soweto would just hear about Necsa and think it is some fancy place where they build cars or something like this. The group that visited Necsa is part of a large programme of 821 learners. The 40 learners who came to Necsa have told interesting stories to me and other staff members and mainly the other learners. They were inspired and now they realize that science is vast!
We would like to extend an invitation for the Necsa team to visit the whole programme in the near future.

What’s it about?
It’s about energy, nuclear science, reactors, radiation & radioactivity, and waste. It covers everything you might wish to know and a whole lot more. Did you know, for example, that we are ALL products of a nuclear explosion?
