Ms Elsie Monale - Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) representative
Ms Elsie Monale is the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) representative on the Necsa Board. She is currently the Chief Director: Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Radiation Security at the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy. Ms Monale is experienced in the provisioning of information on Nuclear Non-Proliferation matters, including Bilateral Agreements related to nuclear energy. She is knowledgeable on servicing Safeguards obligations in terms of Nuclear Energy Act & Non-Proliferation Treaty (Ensuring peaceful applications of nuclear energy and accounting for nuclear material in the country). She has also been responsible for Management and Implementation of Projects related to Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Nuclear Security.
She has Master of Science in Applied Radiation Science and Science and Technology [MSc (ARST)] as well as Bachelor of Science in Education (Bsc Ed) from the University of North West.
