Mr Leonard Mavuso is a seasoned Human Resources and Labour Relations executive. He is a strategist with extensive experience in Change Management/ Transformation in both private and public sector. Mr Mavuso is an expert in legislative compliance and developmental actions and processes such as policy framework development, employment equity plan, strategic projects etc.
He has a good understanding of the local government both as the employer and business entity. He is well versed with Project Management skills and well-grounded in management and administrative competencies.
Mr Mavuso has worked for large organisations such as Eskom, City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Council, Legal Aid SA, University of Mpumalanga as well as South African National Parks. He is experienced in serving at different boards. His qualifications includes a BA Degree in Philosophy majoring in Psychology (University of Fort Hare); MA in Labour Studies (Warwick University, UK); Executive Development Programmme (Kellog Management School, USA); Board leadership programme (Gordons Institute of Business Science SA) and a Certificate in Essentials of Management Coaching (Stellenbosch School of business Education SA).
