Dr Pulane Molokwane

Dr Pulane Molokwane boasts over nineteen years of expertise in groundwater remediation, research in nuclear processes, solid waste strategies, solutions and technologies, as well as the petroleum and energy industries. She has worked in both the public and private sectors and has extensive corporate governance experience.

She serves on the advisory body to the President of South Africa, the National Planning Commission (NPC), as a Commissioner and Chair of the Active Citizenry, Capable State and Leadership Workstream. She is the Commissioner responsible for Science and Technology and the Chairperson of the Water Task Team.

She has served or currently serves on the boards of the South African Forestry Company SOC Limited (SAFCOL), the Inkomati‑Usuthu Catchment Management Agency (IUCMA), Sedibeng Water Board, the Nuclear Energy Corporation of South Africa (Necsa), Eskom SOC Limited, the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), the National Forestry Advisory Council (NFAC) as Deputy Chairperson, the Public Investment Corporation (PIC), and as Nominee Director to Siyanda Resources, ARMSCOR, among others, as well as various steering committees and panels within the Science and Innovation and Water departments.

She has authored over forty‑three peer‑reviewed papers, monographs, and a book chapter.
