The key activities of the Smart Radio Sensors group look at the utilisation of radioactive material in the implementation of neutron and gamma-based detection, applied to industrial mining operations, research into nuclear waste management and research into the optimisation of reactor performance.

Capabilities and Instrumentation
The team uses industry standard gamma detectors to perform gamma identification experiments, with a focus on those linked to industrial applications, and perform these from experimental setup to data analysis and results.
