Advanced Manufacturing (AM) is a department of NECSA that specialises in heavy engineering and manufacturing of industrial components. It is one of the few organisations in Africa that has acquired the ASME III Nuclear Certification.

Advanced Manufacturing have design and draughting capabilities to design and manufacture in accordance with:

ASME NPT – Class 1,2,3 CS and MC fabrication without design responsibility and fabrication with design responsibility and fabrication with design responsibility for Class 1, 2, 23, CS & MC appurteness and as a Material Organisation supplying ferrous and non-ferrous material.
ASME NA- Class 1,2 and 3 shop assembly
ASME N – Construction of Class 1,2,3 & MC vessels; Class 1,2,3 valves and piping systems;
Class 2&3 storage tanks; Class CS core support structures; and Class 1,2 & 3 shop assembly

Rolling and bending capability of up to 70mm thickness
Welding of all grades of stainless steels, aluminium, titanium, duplex steels, carbon steels and other high alloys
“Clean room” facility for fabrication of high exotic material equipment * Workshop area 12 600 m2
Max Dimensional capability of equipment fabricated under roof at present is 25m long x 6m dia.
