Qhamkile Makhosi Boyede has more than 20 years working experience with a background in the financial services industry and management consulting in strategy for various industries.
Makhosi was a BancABC’s Chief of Strategy and Business Enablers managing Group Strategy, Program Management office, Human Resources, Marketing and Corporate Communications and Procurement across Botswana, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Makhosi began her career as a process engineering analyst at Nedbank financial services and followed by a strategy analyst at Accenture Consulting. She subsequently moved to ABSA Bank where she was employed as an internal strategy consultant and proceeded to become Associate Director for strategy and planning during a uniquely challenging integration in Absa Capital and seconded to Barclays Strategy and Planning in London. She progressed to become the Chief Administrative Officer of ABSA Capital. She served on the Executive Committee in the role of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
In addition, she was the Executive responsible for Marketing and Corporate Communications, Corporate and Social Investment in Absa Capital, Absa Corporate and Absa Wealth as well responsible for Procurement Management in Absa Capital. She also served as an alternative Chair of the Human Capital Committee.
Prior to joining BancABC, she was a Group Executive at UBank where she was responsible for Corporate Strategy, Programme Office and Business Development. She served as a member of Ubank Social and Ethics Board Committee and within various Exco governance subcommittees. She was also a Chair of the Strategic Programme Office Steerco.
Makhosi holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Pretoria, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
